The Adult & Child Rehab Center has a variety of state-of-the-art equipment, including a Biodex Balancer. The Balancer provides clinical protocol to determine if clients are at risk of a fall. It also determines if a patient is compensating for an injury and what areas need to be worked on to build strength, improve balance, maintain independence and improve mobility.

This system is consistent with the American Geriatric Society's clinical guidelines for prevention of a fall in an older adult. Medicare does cover a fall risk assessment and if any further therapy is needed, that therapy would also be covered by Medicare and supplemental insurance.

If you or a loved are concerned about balance issues and the risk of falling, please call the Adult & Child Rehab Center at (815) 338-1707 to set-up a fall risk assessment.

For more information, please call the Adult & Child Rehab Center at 815.338.1707.
