At 92 years old, Margaret was incredibly independent. She was still working and gardening every chance she got. Recently, she began to feel a little unsteady and was having some difficulty getting around. She was referred to the Adult & Child Therapy Services and began treatment with our physical and occupational therapists. While the physical therapists focused on her balance and strength, the occupational therapist conducted a home safety evaluation, installing grab bars, handrails and a bath bench. Margaret tells us, “You gave me my confidence back.” This is the goal we strive to achieve with every client we treat.

The Adult & Child Therapy Services provides physical, occupational, speech and lymphedema therapy, as well as home health care. We have been providing care to the residents of McHenry County for 61 years. Please take this opportunity to help the developmentally delayed and physically challenged individuals that live and work in our community with a special gift of $25, $50, $100…or more, if possible.

A $125 donation will provide a small child with a developmental screening, evaluating the child’s delays and special needs for the future. A $250 donation will provide a week of therapy for a patient with Cerebral Palsy learning basic life skills. With your gift, patients receive the help they need and are able to use our innovative equipment.

Gold Members (Donation of $1,000+) will receive an invitation for four people to be our guests at our 2011 Dinner & Auction and will receive a membership card.

Silver Members (Donation of $500-$999) will receive an invitation for two people to be our guests at our 2011 Dinner & Auction and will receive a membership card.

Bronze Members (Donation of $100-$499) will receive special ACTS note cards and a membership card.

Copper Members (Donation less than $100) will receive a membership card.
